SCOTT WOULD FIGHT
GERMAN FOR TITLE

By United Press
_ SANDERSTEAD, England - "I'm
glad Schmeling won, and I will be
glad to fight him for the world
heavyweight championship," Phil
Scott, England's foul-claiming
heavyweight, told the United Press
today.
_"If justice had been done at
Miami I would have won from
Sharkey in the same manner, and
the championship could have been
definitely decided last night," said
Scott. "As it is, Schmeling has no
more claim than I have. I beat
Sharkey on a foul and am entitled
to the championship, as Schmeling
ran out of a bout with me, leaving
America rather than fight."
_"I'm fighting Young Stribling in
a world championship bout at Lon-
don next month, but I'll be ready to
meet Schmeling any time after that.
Then we'll have a real champion,
recognized throughout the world."
